Digital Download for GW2 - Guild Wars Forums

I'm new to this digital download concept. I've determined that the basic digital download is best for me. I would like to preorder simply because of the 3 day head start and that band thingy. So, how does this work? I pay now and download it upon release with some code they give me? when does preorder end?, i have 25gb free. guess im just new to the no cd thing
